I declare that you will receive a new story, a new testimony, a testimony of God’s goodness, a testimony of God’s greatness, and a testimony of God’s love and care.
I declare that this shall be a new season for you. The old has gone because God is transforming the old and bringing in the new.
The life that we live is not a playground, it is not a sports arena. It is a battlefield. Christianity is not meat or drink, but it is the demonstration of God’s Power through the life of a born-again child of God through the weapon of testimony.
WHAT ARE GIANTS?
Giants are enemies positioned to stop you from entering your inheritance. They are there to intimidate and can put you in bondage and captivity. Giants are positioned to frustrate your efforts and can kill, steal, and destroy.
USING THE WEAPON OF TESTIMONY TO DEFEAT THE GIANT.
Testimonies are the public affirmation, declaration, or proclamation of the nature and acts of God. Testimonies are declarations of God’s goodness and what He has done in the lives of others and our lives also.
There are two components of the weapon of testimony that we must engage in to enforce our testimony.
THE WORD OF YOUR TESTIMONY
This is where we engage the Word of God and search the scriptures to bring out the nature and acts (doings) of God. At this point, you gather the testimonies you have heard and read.
God is powerful, and that is part of His nature. He is also loving and just, embodying justice in all His actions.
It’s important to understand that God loves you immensely, and this reflects His true nature toward you.
But what about His acts?
Does He fulfill his promises in accordance with his nature? Do the scriptures provide clear insight into who He claims to be and whether he follows through on those claims?
Do we truly understand His nature, or do we have a deep knowledge of Him? What is He capable of doing, what has he already accomplished, or what can he do?
That is why, when the angel appeared to Gideon, he asked, “Where are the miracles that our ancestors told us about?” They had heard about the miracles, such as how God parted the Red Sea and delivered Israel from the Egyptians.
The word of God in Revelation 12:10-11 says,” And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
The word of our testimony consists of what you hear and what you read. You start to engage with the Word of God, studying the Scriptures and seeing for yourself.
By feeding your spirit with His Word, you help build His testimony within you. This then becomes your testimony. At this stage, you gather the testimonies you have heard and read.
THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY
This is where your testimony becomes a Prophetic decree and declaration. The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy, and as we engage the Spirit of Prophecy through decrees and declarations, testimony becomes a powerful weapon of war in our hands. At this point, you begin to declare what you want to see on the basis of the testimony you have gathered.
The book of Revelation 19:10-11 says, ” And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.”
I DECLARE THAT AS YOU BEGIN TO ENGAGE THE WORD OF GOD, AND THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, WHATEVER YOU DECLARE IN THE WILL OF GOD SHALL BE FULFILLED IN THE NAME OF JESUS! AMEN.
