WHAT IS A TESTIMONY?
Testimonies are declarations of God’s goodness, they proclaim His acts and miracles. Also, a testimony reflects God’s word.
Testimony is the public affirmation, declaration, or proclamation of the nature and acts of God. It is the living proof of God’s almightiness, greatness, and awesomeness in the life of a believer.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE BLESSINGS OF TESTIMONIES?
These are some of the blessings of testimonies.
TESTIMONIES BRING GLORY TO GOD AND TERRIFY THE ENEMY
The word of God in Joshua 2:9-10 says, “And she said unto the men, I know that the Lord hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you. For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed.”
The enemy becomes agitated when they hear your testimonies. They lose their strength and faint in response to your testimonies.
When testimonies are shared, the enemy recognizes the God who is present in your life. Testimonies magnify the greatness of God in your life, and when God is magnified, the enemy becomes terrified.
WE OVERCOME THE ENEMIES THROUGH TESTIMONY
The book of Revelation 12:11 declares, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
As the enemies have been terrified, testimonies empower you to overcome them.
I declare that you shall overcome your enemies as you share your testimony and engage in the power of testimonies.
TESTIMONIES OPEN THE DOOR OF MIRACLES
The book of Joshua 4:16 says, “Command the priests that bear the ark of the testimony, that they come up out of Jordan.”
The Act of Testimonies opens the door to miracles. When you engage with testimonies, you are interacting with the acts of the Lord.
This act is also referred to as the Act of God’s Presence, as well as the Act of God’s Covenants. By sharing your testimony, you establish a covenant with God that invites even more testimonies into your life.
TESTIMONIES BUILD OUR FAITH AND THE FAITH OF OTHERS
The book of 1 Samuel 17:37 says, “David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the Lord be with thee.”
We share these testimonies not only to strengthen your faith but also to enhance our own.
TESTIMONIES SET THE STAGE FOR VICTORY AND MORE TESTIMONIES
This is evident in the book of 1 Samuel 17:51 says, “Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they fled.”
TESTIMONIES PUT GOD’S SEAL ON YOUR LIFE
The scripture in John 3:33 says, “He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.”
Also, Ephesians 1:13 says, “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise”
TESTIMONIES PUT GOD’S PROPHETIC WORD IN MOTION FOR FULFILLMENT
The word of God in Revelation 19:10-13 says, “And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.”
That means when you engage in testimony, the prophetic word over your life is put in motion to be fulfilled.
