WHAT IS A TESTIMONY?
Testimony is the public affirmation, declaration, or proclamation of the nature and acts of God.
It is the living proof of God’s almightiness, greatness, and awesomeness in the life of a believer. Testimonies reveal the existence of God, showing His acts and ways.
WHAT DO TESTIMONIES DO?
TESTIMONIES ENHANCE THE SPREAD OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS
The word of God in John 11:44–45 says, “The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, ‘Take off the grave clothes and let him go.’ Therefore, many of the Jews who had come to visit Mary and had seen what Jesus did believed in him.”
When testimonies occur in our lives, it becomes a natural way in which the Lord Jesus is spread. It is easier to evangelize based on testimonies, as they enhance the spread of the gospel of Christ.
TESTIMONIES BRING UNDERSTANDING ABOUT GOD
The book of Psalm 119:99, 144 says, “I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes. Your statutes are always righteous; give me understanding that I may live.”
When you start to hear testimonies, you begin to understand that there is a God and this is how He works. You gain insight into the nature of God and learn about who He is.
This deepens your understanding of Him. This means testimony is a better teacher than every other teacher.
TESTIMONIES BRING WONDERS INTO YOUR LIFE
The word of God in Psalm 119:129 says, “Your statutes are wonderful; therefore I obey them.”
When testimony enters your life, wonders become complete in it. Your life begins to experience the fullness of wonders.
TESTIMONIES BRING CELEBRATION INTO YOUR LIFE
The book of Psalm 119:111 says, “Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart.”
Testimonies bring rejoicing, and there is no one who hears a good testimony and does not rejoice.
TESTIMONIES PUT AWAY THE WICKED
The scriptures in Psalm 119:119 says, “All the wicked of the earth you discard like dross; therefore I love your statutes.”
As long as a testimony is activated in your life, the devil is kept away from you. All wickedness and evil, including demons and their collaborators, are cast out in the name of Jesus.
The powers of darkness and their associates are driven away by the power of testimonies.
The Bible says: “We overcome by the blood of the Lamb.” Therefore, we triumph over the devil, and all his collaborators are put away by the strength of our testimonies.
